This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returning products, in compliance with South African consumer protection laws, including the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Your Right to Return
You may return a product purchased from us under the following main circumstances:
- Change of Mind (Cooling-Off Period): If you decide the product isn’t right for you shortly after receiving it.
- Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods: If the product is faulty, arrived damaged, or is not the item you ordered.

Change of Mind Returns (Cooling-Off Period)
Understanding that you purchase products online without prior physical inspection, we offer a 14-calendar-day change-of-mind return period from the date the product was delivered to you.
- Conditions for Return:
- The product must be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery.
- You must contact Audiomotion at 032 004 0036 to obtain a return code, then log the return via email (Sales3@myaudiomotion.co.za) within the 14-day period.
- The product must be returned in its complete, original product packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and cables.
- Returns must be completed within 14 days of return approval.
- Exclusions: This right does not apply to:
- Personalised or custom-made products.
- Items specified as non-returnable on the product page.
- Products where the box has been opened and the manufacturer’s seal is broken.
- Products altered beyond what is necessary for basic inspection (e.g., components added/removed, tamper seals broken, screen film removed).
- Return Shipping Cost: You are responsible for the cost of returning the product to us for change-of-mind returns.
- Handling Fee: No handling or restocking fee will be charged if the return conditions are met.
- Refund: A full refund of the original purchase price will be processed to your original payment method within approximately 7-10 business days after we receive and approve the return.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods
We stand by the quality of our products, which carry an implied warranty of quality under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
- Reporting Timeframe:
- Notify us of damaged or incorrect goods within 48 hours of delivery by logging a return via email.
- You may return defective goods within 14 days from the date of delivery.
- Your Choice of Remedy (within 14 days of delivery):
- Repair the product.
- Replace the product (subject to stock availability).
- Receive a full refund of the purchase price.
- Conditions for Return:
- Provide a clear description of the defect, damage, or issue.
- We may need to inspect the product to confirm the fault.
- The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorised alterations, incorrect installation, power surges, or normal wear and tear.
- Return Shipping Cost:
- Within 14 days of purchase, Audiomotion will cover the cost of returning defective, damaged, or incorrect goods.
- For warranty repairs after the initial 14-day period, the owner is responsible for the cost of sending the item to Audiomotion. Audiomotion will cover the cost of returning the repaired item to the owner during the warranty period.
- For out-of-warranty repairs, the owner is responsible for all shipping costs (to and from Audiomotion).
- Remedy Timeframes:
- Repairs typically take up to 21 days.
- Replacements depend on stock availability.
- Refunds are processed within approximately 7-10 business days after return approval.
How to Log a Return

- Provide necessary details (order information, description of the issue).
- For defective items, state your preferred remedy (Repair, Replace, or Refund).
- Confirm your collection address and contact details.
- Submit the email. You will receive updates regarding your return status.
Preparing Your Return
Please package the product securely to prevent damage during transit, ideally using the original shipping box. Include all original items, accessories, and documentation.
Refunds
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- While store credit may be offered, you have the right to a refund to the original payment method, especially for returns under the CPA warranty.
- Processing typically takes 7-10 business days after the return is approved, though your bank may take additional time to reflect the credit.
General Terms
- Governing Law: The use of our site and any contracts formed are governed by South African Law.
- Liability: Our liability for any claim is limited to the sum you paid for the goods. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g., for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
- Third Parties: No third party has the right to enforce any term of these conditions under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
- Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions, and any changes will be communicated on our website. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
- Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights on this website are owned by us. Unauthorised use of material is prohibited.
